COLD!

It is so cold....I should be glad that this week is the only real cold snap that we have had this winter, but I can't help it. It is so cold outside that there are Wind Chill Warnings in effect all across the province. The forecast I read today says it should warm up to more normal temperatures by Sunday. This is one time I hope the weather forecast is right.

Till then, stay bundled up!

Prince Albert to La Ronge sled dog race begins

Was reading about this over on the CBC Saskatchewan website. Good luck to all seventeen teams in the race. Hope the weather warms up for you a little bit over the next few days.

Winter

It appears that winter has finally arrived here in Saskatchewan. This is not to say that we have not had snow for quite awhile, but the temperature has been so nice this winter that the snow did not really matter to much. Surviving winter in Saskatchewan is not so much about the snow but about surviving the -30 Celsius daytime highs. Well today it seems like winter might have finally come. While the daytime high was still pretty nice around -6 Celsius, the temperature this morning was a chilly -24 Celsius. I was reminded what winter is about when I had to leave a 7:30am for Saskatoon and that cold air hit my face. It almost knocked the wind right out of me it shocked me so much to breath in cold air. Saskatchewan and talking about the weather...they just seem to go together don't they.

Rosthern

Well, I have started to build a new site focusing on my town. I wanted to offer people and businesses in Rosthern an opportunity to help promote the town and the many great businesses and services that we have here. I have not had the chance to create a custom design for the site yet, but much of the functionality is there. Check out www.rosthern.info for more information.
