Saskatchewan Christmas

Well it is Christmas already, I am not sure where the months have gone, but I am looking forward to a few days of relaxing with family and friends. I don't know if this Christmas is going to be typical of a Saskatchewan Christmas since the weather forecast is for warm temperatures, certainly not typical of Saskatchewan at Christmas time. Hopefully we can hang on to the snow long enough for it to still be a white Christmas.

Oh well, if it has to be warm so be it. I might get a chance over the Christmas holiday to get a few more pictures of Big Things across Saskatchewan. We will have to see where we get to these next few days. I know we will be passing at least one big thing. Perhaps we will stop and take a photo.

I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and maybe there will be a new post after the holiday.

Big Things in Saskatchewan Update!

I was out in Biggar Saskatchewan a while ago and was able to take a shot of the Hanson Buck. It is a tribute to the World Record Whitetail Deer that was shot by Milo Hanson near Biggar Saskatchewan. It is amazing the things that you can learn about your home province. Anyways, if you are ever passing by Biggar take a second to check out the Hanson Buck.

There are also some other attractions that would be worth your time to look at in Biggar as well. They are home to the "Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park". It was cold the day I was there and I was on a pretty tight schedule so I did not get a chance to look at the park, but you can learn more about it on the The Official Site of Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park website.

Also, if you like hamburgers, check out Hannigan's Restaurant on Main Street. I got a burger to go and it was incredible! It was not just a hamburger it was a meal in itself. It had the hamburger patty and ham and was one of the best hamburgers I have ever had, so take the time to stop in Biggar for a hamburger at Hannigan's Restaurant.

If you want to read more about Biggar check out the Town of Biggar website.

Baby on the Way!

Well it has been a long 9 months of waiting for the new baby to arrive. This morning I awoke to my wife telling me that her contractions started. So soon we will be off to the hospital. I will post when I get a chance to announce new babies name and picture.
