New Stuff Coming!

Well I have decided to give Livingskies a new look soon. I am also going to ditch the Blogger blog and replace the whole site with something more than just a blog. There will still be a blog as part of the site, but I want to do something more here, something bigger, something well you will see. It might take a little while until I get everything sorted out but there will be a lot more coming.

It has been a busy summer so far. We have been busy travelling around the province and seeing some interesting things. Took this photo of the tire man just south of Prince Albert back in early June and I finally got around to uploading it. My son was pretty impressed with this. He wanted to climb it, but I thought it would be a bad idea.

This is such a typical scene here in Saskatchewan. Of course, you see it more later in the summer, but depending one where you are there can be fields upon fields of nothing but hay bales.

There is a storm rolling in here tonight and I just came across this great shot of a coming storm. Interesting how you can see the sun and the dark clouds at the same time.

Prairie Tree

The photo description says "Who says there are no trees in Saskatchewan". I can't help but think of a Corner Gas episode with the surveillance bush that the police hide behind. It is the only bush on the prairie to hide behind. On the DVD they mention that the surveillance bush is actually being held there by a crew member because there are no trees of bushes to hide behind.

I live not far from here. I have a photo of the church but it is not as interesting as this one. Perhaps if I make it black and white and take the shot from the grass next time I am there. It is a very interesting church and the whole site has such history with the 6 Battle of Batoche.
